Ensuring a sustainable future is the greatest challenge we face today. Human-induced climate change is causing dangerous and widespread disruption in nature and is affecting the lives of billions of people around the world. How we run our countries, economies and businesses influences this change.

Instinctively we know that healthcare – and the funding that facilitates it – is fundamentally about sustainability. However, when it comes to the environment, we all have a responsibility to make sure that our actions sustain the planet as well as human health.

iFHP’s 2022 Biennial Conference – our first global in-person event since the pandemic – breaks this responsibility down into its parts, examining both the challenges and the opportunities for our industry. Taking lessons from global leaders, industry experts, practitioners and each other, we will explore what sustainability means to our industry, our businesses and our stakeholders. Armed with this knowledge, we can keep building on the work that has gone before while it guides the work that lies ahead.

Our destination is the Fairmont Pacific Rim in the picturesque city of Vancouver. The Fairmont Pacific Rim is itself a leader in sustainable travel accommodation and promises to provide the right backdrop for our time together.
